Join the Lab
We are interested in working with students and researchers who want to understand infectious disease transmission using environmental, epidemiologic, and molecular data.
Who might be a good fit?
You do not need to arrive with experience in every method we use. Strong candidates may come from epidemiology, environmental health, microbiology, engineering, data science, public health, or related fields.
Interests that fit especially well include:
- environmental surveillance
- infectious disease epidemiology
- One Health and zoonotic disease
- environmental microbiology
- molecular methods and sequencing
- spatial or infectious disease modeling
- quantitative exposure assessment
Current opportunities
Undergraduate and master’s students
I work with undergraduate students at the University of Michigan through the UROP program, and with MS and MPH students in the School of Public Health and beyond. If you’re interested in research for credit or for paid opportunities, email me to discuss.
